Added the message, “Are you having trouble seeing the page properly? If so, click here.” to the Gallery page. Click “here” in the message takes the user to the Retro Gallery page.
Values in the Explore panel can now be sorted in ascending/descending alphabetical order and ascending/descending record count order
Improved type-ahead searching speed in the Explore panel by eliminating the number of queries made to Elasticsearch while the user is typing
Implemented error handling when a workspace can’t be loaded properly by displaying the message, “There was a problem with the selected workspace. Using the default workspace.” The user is then navigated to the default workspace.
When using the 5.0.0 release and reloading well data, in some cases (generally if well logs were loaded) it can cause corruption to the data within the wellbore table in the database. The problem in itself does not stop the data being loaded into the session – the error generally shows up when the corrupt wellbores are displayed in the 2D or 3D view. The problem was fixed in the 5.0.1 release and this 5.0.2 release contains a new maintenance option in DBAdmin, which will allow users to inspect a database for corrupt wellbores and, if found, allow them to be fixed.
The 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 release contains a pair of related issues which can stop a project being loaded into DI Transform. This does not cause data loss, but users are unable to use the database until the 5.0.2 patch is installed. The reason for the problem is that the refreshability option inspects data upon loading from the database – if an error occurs during this phase, the exception will stop the data being loaded. This can occur if a wellbore corrupted (due to item 1) is used in refreshability or if a previously populated well list is empty (causing a NullPointer error). In the 5.0.2 release the NullPointer error has been fixed (as has item 1), and refreshability has been disabled at data load – so future problems will not stop data being loaded.
Drillinginfo is pleased to announce the release of DI Transform 5.0.2. This is a patch release primarily intended to provide fixes for two major issues from previous 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 releases. The release addresses database and data loading issues. It is STRONGLY recommended that users of 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 download and install this patch release to prevent possible corruption of databases. This release does not require new licensing, database instance migration, or repository migration. Simply load the release and start working. Fixed problem in new LAS importer in which manual correction of units was applied incorrectly
Performance improvement to slow opening of well top alias selection in mapping
New option to specify a uniform mnemonic when exporting well logs using aliases
Faster opening of the well log viewer on Linux
Performance improvement to slow opening of the Reliquish Features dialog
Ability to manually set the time shift from seismic datum to well KB in a well time depth model (but previously rendered tops in 3D may need to be re-rendered)
[Virginia] - API Number Assignments: For many years the state of Virginia did not use or assign API numbers. Recently the API number was reintroduced, but the API numbers assigned to historical wells were overwritten resulting in changes in API numbers for about 3,000 wells. DI Desktop will be using the newly assigned API numbers to identify Virginia wells. However, the old API numbers will still be available to customers in PDEN_DESC.COMMINGLE_NO. This is a column that is searchable in DI Desktop as “Other No.”
[Virginia] - General Well Header Data Improvements: Added new data sources which increased the coverage of certain header data elements. Depth coverage increased by 11%, completion date coverage increased by 43%, and lease/well name coverage increased by 15%.
Fixed a defect in which the default relative date range setting of “Show last 3 months” wasn’t displayed if the user switched from a non-relative date filter back to a relative date filter
Fixed a defect in which applying a dynamic range filter and switching back to the “From/To” date range filter returned the full data set instead of the filtered data set
