[Saskatchewan] - The province has recently adopted the Dominion Land Survey (DLS) UWI format. Previously they provided their own well ids (WID). However, Saskatchewan’s convention for setting Location Exception is unique. In DI Desktop, UWIs in DLS provinces are formatted as follows when populating the API No field: 01/10-03-009-19-W3/0
Here is how the formatted UWI should be interpreted: Location Exception – 01; LSD – 10; Section – 03; Township – 009; Range – 19; West of meridian – W3; Well event sequence – 0
[Pennsylvania] - Data format from state changed around well numbers. We now give preference to well numbers already in our system. When missing, well numbers are parsed out of the farm name.
[Pennsylvania] - Invalid wells have also been removed when (1) there is no production, (2) there is no spud date, and (3) there is no completion date.
[Montana]: (1) Lat/longs are now updated on a monthly basis. (2) Added ~ 35,000 spud dates. (3) Added ~ 8,500 completion dates. (4) Added ~ 12,000 elevations. (5) Added ~2,500 depths. (6) Added ~ 20,000 prod types (i.e., well type…oil, gas, etc.). (7) With the addition of the above, we were able to identify ~1400 expired permit locations, which were not actual wells.
[Colorado] - To address an issue with the state’s incremental data feed, we have began pulling data directly off state the website. This allows Drillinginfo to better identify “Not Completed” records in the state incremental file that are to be removed to avoid duplication. This will also allow Drillinginfo to fill in missing monthly production data has been occasionally absent in the state-sourced incremental file.
